Solar bollard pathway & waypoint lighting in parks & reserves, Lions Park Walkway, Meningie, SA

Solar lighting along pathways of parks and reserves bring feelings of safety and security, as well as increases accessibility and use of local environments.

PROJECT DETAILS:

Date installed: June 2020
Customer: Coorong District Council
Partner Project: BTS Building & Training Services
Compliance: Waypoint
Product: 22x SOLABOLLARD (SBL1), 160mA (standard power)

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Coorong District Council has made a clever choice with these bollards along the pathway at the water’s edge.  Council opted for waypoint lighting with bollards spaced around 10 to 12 metres apart.  This will provide a guide along the pathway, enough for humans to navigate the path, and with minimal impact on the immediate ecosystem with the soft natural white light emitted.  Locals and visitors to Meningie will have reliable, uniform lighting dusk to dawn, 365 nights of the year.
