Solar Bollard on Moveable Block at Denham Seaside Caravan Park, Shark Bay, WA

Over in WA, our customers at the Denham Seaside Caravan Park up at Shark Bay have made a really clever adaptation for the bollards.

Date Installed: 2020

Customer: Denham Seaside Caravan Park

Compliance: Waypoint & amenity lighting

Product: Solar Bollard Gen 1 (SBL1)

Order Code: SBL1-160NW-0840BPA

Product Description: 20x Solar Bollard Gen 1, standard power (160mA) for full sun position for region, natural white (4,000K), base-plate mounted, 1m installed height

Customer-Led Innovation with Solar Bollard

Scott had this idea to bolt a base-plate mounted bollard to an off-the shelf block of reconstituted limestone. What this means is Scott can use the bobcat to allow the bollards to be moved around the park as it grows and shrinks with the seasons.

A second benefit he says is when these bollards are accidentally reversed into, they simply “move” or fall to the ground with no damage to the light or the vehicle. After all, these bollards are rated at the highest impact rating available in Australian standards (IK10).

Since this purchase in 2019, Scott has made a second purchase of another 20x SBL1 for their second holiday park venue in 2020
